Kaye England arrives!

50 of us spent a cozy Sunday afternoon with one spicy lady! Lots of teaching and laughing!

Sunday Afternoon

Sunday we will enjoy an afternoon with Kaye England and snack on these Lemon Cookies! 1/2 c butter 1/3 c shortening 1/2 c sugar zest of 1 lemon 1 egg 2 tsp vanilla 1/4 tsp salt 1 1/2 c all-purpose flour 3 T cornstarch Beat butter, shortening and eggs. Beat in lemon zest, egg, vanilla and salt. Gently stir in flour and cornstarch. Chill dough for 1 hour. Roll 1 tablespoon of dough into a ball. Place on baking sheet. Gently press into a disk. Bake cookies at 350 degrees til lightly browned...about 16 minutes.
