A Quilt Full of Hugs

Isnt' it wonderful how sewers and quilters can share priceless gifts with special folks! These are one of a kind creations for one of a kind folks! Take a look at this beautiful quilt sewn by our customer Kathy Riggs Matthews. She said this is for her nephew in Afghanistan. He works in a hospital there. Kathy wanted her nephew to be warm and cozy during the bitter, cold winters in this country. He is very far away from all his family who loves him very much. Kathy took the time to make a really nice label. Great job, Kathy. And thank you for letting us enjoy your project!

Now Is The Time

That's right! It is time for Carolyn to learn how to blog! And it is time to begin your sewing for the holidays! When you start early, you can enjoy the process and creativity flows with abundance! Here is a simple idea to get you going! If you have friends that live out of state, why not pick up North Carolina products and a favorite kitchen gadget. Here I am packaging up Moravian cookies, grits and a flat spatula that really hugs the side of a mixing bowl! Come to the store and find your favorite new bolt of fall and Christmas fabrics. New bolts are on the floor every week, often daily! Sew your fabric into aprons or potholders. If you would like to learn to sew your scraps into fun potholders, join me for a quick class on September 15 or November 18! Check out our newsletter for other Fast, Fun and Functional class ideas that you can sew for gifts! Carolyn
